Château Montrose

The history of the Château Montrose domain, written over two centuries by three families of owners, is the depository of their spirit, marked by the search for excellence and legendary wines. Pioneers in the Médoc, visionary builders and wise managers, all these families knew how to work and capitalize on this unique terroir. The estate owes to them the foundation on which Montrose builds today its image and its unique place in the world of exceptional wines. After three generations of the Charmolüe family, in 2006 Château Montrose was acquired by Martin and Olivier Bouygues. Aware of the potential of the unique terroir, they appreciated the advantages and richness of the estate and decided to invest in it. Thus the Montrose estate entered the 21st century with a spectacular reconstruction. The exceptional project lasted from 2007 to 2013. Under the leadership of Melissa Bouygues and Hervé Berland, the estate benefits from a combination of youth and experience in a multigenerational team where winegrowers and winemakers work together with technical specialists and academic experts.
