Vin France
France
France can’t claim the birthplace of wine but, certainly, for a couple of hundred years it is a dominant force, being one of the leading two wine producers around the world. Is the second largest wine producer in the world in maters of volume, remaining the center of the global production of fine wines. In addition, France is also the pioneer of introduction the controlled designation of origin (AOC), draft also passed on to the other countries in Europe.
Alsace
Alsace is located between Germany and France and has a cold continental climate. Due to a screen realized by Vosge mountains autumn here is longer, making it one of the most arid regions of France. Warm summers and dry autumns ensure perfect conditions for grapes to accumulate high sugar levels. The best known appellations are Alsace AC and Alsace Grand Cru AC, and the most important grapes are Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Muscat from which are made wines with different levels of residual sugar: from dry to sweet.
