Vin Champagne Henriet - Bazin
Champagne Henriet - Bazin
The history of this estate begins in 1890 when Gaston Henriet, the great-grandfather of the current owner, Marie-Noëlle, decided to keep part of the harvest (which until then he had sold to the big champagne houses) to try the adventure of winemaking. His son Robert Henriet took over in 1930 and continued to work. Driven by the enthusiasm for Champagne de Vignerons, he developed his clientele through fairs in Paris, Lille, and Lyon. In 1962, Daniel Henriet, grandson of the founder, was 16 years old when he decided to take over and study wine before joining his brothers on the family estate. A few years later, he met Mademoiselle Micheline Bazin, the daughter of winegrowers from Villers-Marmery, whom he married in 1968. The union of the two families gave birth to Champagne Henriet-Bazin. Nicolas Rainon joined the house in 1991, continued the tradition, and decided to keep the entire harvest for winemaking. Three years later, he was lucky enough to buy 1.75 hectares of Meunier from Faverolles and Coëmy to expand his range of grape varieties. Today, the working methods of this artisan producer stem from a simple philosophy: respect for nature, land, and vines.
