In 1971, a successful businessman from the textile industry bought the property of Val di Maggio to produce his own wine. It Was a dream he had been feeding for a long time, and for this, he started with only 5 hectares of vineyard. The Passage of time made him hope even more in his dream, continuing to acquire land in the surroundings. He strongly believed in the local varieties and, above all, in Sagrantino. In 1988, his son, Marco, took over the winery, giving a new incentive to produce top wines. Since 1991, substantial investments have been made in acquiring new life, scientific research, and innovation, including collaboration with the University of Milan and other research institutes to improve production.
