Rotari

History or legend, the name Rotari derives from the Longobard King Rotari, who fought one of the most important battles along the valleys of this territory in his conquest of Italy and made history with his famous "Edict of Rotari", a book about the rules of winemaking. The Rotari Wine Cellar is Mezzacorona Group's jewel in the crown, one of Italy's most important structures for producing sparkling wine using the Metodo Classico. A modern wine cellar is ideally in synthesis with its surrounding natural environment, built in homage to the original area. The building itself reflects and respects its surrounding land. The roof of the wine cellar has a characteristic wave shape that echoes the undulating shape of our vineyards due to the typical Trentino pergola. Refreshing winds, a mountain-Mediterranean climate, influences of the mountains in the North and Lake Garda in the South, and a wide temperature range all lead to an environment particularly suited to the cultivation of the grapes which are at the base of Rotari: Chardonnay and Pinot Nero. Rotari's aging on the lees lasts a minimum of 24 months. It produces a sparkling wine that is a perfect aperitif and a perfect companion to both Italian and International cuisines. Full and toasty, with aromas of wheat bread and Golden Delicious apples, Rotari is consistently well-rated and recognized for its consistent good quality, year after year.
