Deep, bright purple-red.
It is concentrated and dense, but smooth and delicate at the same time. It shows a good balance between the jammy fruits and the savoury tannins. The finish is long and refined.
Intense black and red fruit aromas followed by spicy notes.
Manual harvesting from 40 to 70-year-old vineyards. Before fermentation, the grapes are left to dry for five weeks (Appassimento method) to concentrate the sugars and flavors. Cold maceration (18°C) followed by indigenous yeast fermentation and pre-release cement tank storage.
