Palate
The palate is marked by the sweetness and the balanced combination of acidity and tannins.
Nose
Lively bouquet of red ripe fruit. Impressive concentration of different notes, such as sour cherry, rose petals, red orange, sweet licorice.
Winemaking
Fermentation and maceration for around three weeks followed by ageing in oak for 30 months
The grapes are harvested from the Marenca-Rivette area in the commune of Serralunga d'Alba. The total cultivated area here is 12ha, located at an altitude of 300m above sea level. Produced for the first time in 1988, it undergoes a 3-week maceration process on the lees, 12 months of maturation in "barriques" and 18 months in large oak barrels. The best years have an aging potential of 40-50 years.
