Vin Mastroberardino

Mastroberardino

Mastroberardino

Considered the oldest wine cellar in Campania with a continuous history, Mastroberardino began its activity somewhere in the early 18th century, although the labels show the year 1878. Today, Mastroberardino owns about 320 hectares of vine, divided into 12 different domains, located in the best micro-terroirs in Campania at high altitudes. The Mastroberardino wine cellar is located in Atripalda, east of Naples, in the province of Avellino. The region is relatively mountainous, so the plantations are at high altitude. The main objective of the winery is to cultivate and produce wines from traditional varieties such as Aglianico, Falanghina, Greco, Fiano, Piedirosso and Coda di Volpe, Fiano di Avellino, Greco di Tufo and Taurasi under the DOCG regulations. Annually, the cellar produces about two million bottles, reaching over 60 countries and major markets such as the US, Germany, Japan, and the UK. The winemaking philosophy of the company's current president, Piero Mastroberardino, representing the tenth generation of winemakers, is focused on obtaining complex wines with a long evolution potential over time. At the same time, he wants to reflect in its wines the terroir of Campania, characterized by volcanic soils and the high altitudes climate.
