Paul Clüver Family Wines is a family winery focused on producing world-class wines that reflect the uniqueness of Elgin's cool climate terroir. The family is proud to have pioneered the Elgin appellation and to be a leader in sustainable agriculture. The geography and climate of the Elgin Valley make it unique, being located on an inland mountain plateau, in close proximity to the ocean, encapsulated by the UNESCO Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. The average altitude at which the vines of the Paul Clüver winery are grown is 300-400 meters above sea level; the highest vineyards being 500 meters above sea level.
