Barbera d’Alba Vigna Scarrone Bio - 2021 - Barbera d’Alba DOC
Ruby red.
Good acidity and full body. Excellent balance, great complexity and persistence finish.
Intense aromas of ripe red and black cherries, vanilla and spices.
Pre-fermentation cold maceration. Alcoholic fermentation for approximately 2 weeks, in open stainless steel tanks, with mechanical pumping overs. The alcoholic fermentation is followed by a post-fermentation maceration with the skins. The wine is then racked and moved to barriques for malolactic fermentation. Aging for 18 months between stainless-steel, barriques and wooden barrels.
The grapes are selected from the single vineyard Scarrone in Castiglione Falletto with a south-west exposure.
